Founded in 2023 in Lawrence, Kansas, blueBrij LLC emerged in response to a city project that aligned with our ongoing pro-bono efforts, which began in 2020 with an in-depth exploration of the areas surrounding City Hall and the Kaw River. Our involvement was rooted in a vision to create a safe and accessible crossing over the Kaw, connecting North Lawrence to downtown.
Through this process we quickly recognized the area's rich cultural and historical significance, as well as its connection to the Lawrence Loop Trail. We are familiar with the areas complex challenges, including highway and rail crossings, a hydroelectric dam and other infrastructural elements.
Our work is focused on navigating these challenges while honoring the Kaw River, the character of this place and our community.
